Rossa Jurenas is an award-winning hair stylist, ground-breaking colorist, and industry thought leader. She has trained with industry icons Vidal Sassoon, Vivienne Mackinder, Xpressions and for the past 23 years she has been the consistent recipient of internationally recognized awards, for her innovative approach to color, cutting and style design.

In 2021, she was honoree of a host of prestigious awards for her extraordinary work. She received the Contessa Master Colorist Award and 2019 Behind the Chair Creative Colorist Award, placing in the top five finalists for Colorist of the Year for the North American Hairstyling Awards.  Additional accomplishments Rossa has achieved are; winning Editorial Stylist of the Year & Colorist of the Year for the Mirror Awards along with Canadian Colorist of the Year for the Contessa awards. Rossa has been featured on global platforms, in Madrid, Dubai, China, Brazil, USA and her home country of Canada.

Her work has been featured within a multitude of prestigious top editorial and industry trade magazines including; FAVE magazine, Vulkan, Zink, Vanity Fair, Dress to Kill, Flanelle, Elle, In Style, Flare, Wedding Bells, Tribute, Behind the Chair, Salon Magazine, Hairdresser Journal and many others. Rossa has led the America’s Next Top Model Hair & Beauty team. She continues to participate in New York Fashion week, for numerous designers such as Betsey Johnson, Lucian Matis, Vera Wang, Alice & Olivia and works alongside world –known photographers including Simon Emmett.

Rossa is one of the original members of Schwarzkopf Professional’s Essential Looks Artistic team, working with Schwarzkopf Professional’s Canadian team for 15 years. She then assumed her lead role as the North American Color Director & International Colour Ambassador for Schwarzkopf Professional. The past 6 years, Jurenas has worked closely with the global team creating the latest color and cutting trends for the Essential Looks Collections partnering with Lesley Jennison, Tyler Johnston, and Richard Ashforth.  Rossa was part of the first-ever Global Masters Digital Essential Looks  where she helped our community reconnect with our passion, rediscover the thrill of making people feel beautiful and build stronger connections between us all while living in a world of lock down.

Another accomplishment for Jurenas, was her co-creation with Schwarzkopf Professional – involving her own shades within a Color Collection to add to Schwarzkopf Professional Igora Royal product line. Herself and Linh Phan, Instagram Influencer @Bescene created the Lucid Nocturnes Collection that was launched in 2018 globally to great acclaim. Rossa can be found educating at top salons around the world, working on editorial photo projects, adding her expertise to brand shoots for product launches or working on many global stage platforms expressing her passion for color and styling.
